My favorite professor ever! Take home midterms and finals were somewhat challenging but doable. He is extremely patient and will help you through it also. He does not care so much about grades, but so much as you learn the material and get a better understanding of computing.

He really does a great job of bringing in the computing side of statistics. The labs are well written and the homework is very straightforward. He is also sends out a lot of helpful emails to the class list about these tasks. This class has no curve, so there is no reason why anyone should get less than an A in this class. Just make sure you go to class because he goes over the "difficult" concepts over and over again until he feels the class understands what is going on. The only problem is that the take home Midterms, Labs, and take home Final contain a lot of descriptive essays that can take a very long time (it is definetely not plug and chug). Since he gives you a week complete these tasks you definetely try to think about the questions over the course of the week instead of trying to do them last minute. I made that mistake with the 1st midterm and almost didn't make the electronic submission deadline.
