This guy gave me a b+ when I got an A on every assignment...I couldn't even get a hold of him to argue about it!

There was a wide range of abilities in his fall class (Intro To Costume Design), and I greatly appreciated the fact Alan focused on the *growth* on those who were beginners (rather than harping on our weaknesses). But be prepared for extremley blunt feedback on projects. Alan is a true artist, very passionate about what he does - and his feedback is quite helpful. Besides the in-class critiques, projects were returned w/ a page of typed comments. We didn't get actual grades for the individual projects - he says he grades overall for growth over the quarter.

THEATER 14B Submitted April 10, 2003 Grade Received: N/A

This man is a blast! His class for the freshman theater majors was fun, although it was a lot of work. Still, most of my classmates and I didn't mind the work because it was so fun! I mean, we got to color, look at magazines, and play dress-up! TAKE THIS MAN'S CLASSES!!!
