Boyan is infinitely better than the professor I have now for 3C, Andrea Brose. Don't take him for granted, he's probably the nicest professor you will meet here.

I love boyan! He is the greatest teacher! He's hilarious in class and does a good job teaching the material as well. His midterms are really easy and almost everyone does very well on them. The homework assignments are very short and the TA's go over them anyway so most everyone gets all the problems correct. I heard some of the TA's arent as good, but mine was awesome (Rahul). I'd definitely recommend him!

Boyan is the coolest math professor at UCLA. He is the man. He is SOOO helpful outside of class and his office hours are incredibly helpful. Plus hes funny, he likes to know a little about you on a more personal level, and if you want to know about math finance hes your guy. He made this rediculously hard material into something understandable, which in my opinion deserves a lot of recognition. take him while hes still at UCLA hes only here for 05-06! and boyan i know you read these, so thanks for being a great professor!

plusses: explained material well; fair and straight foreward exams; awesome sense of humor. My only complaint: we ran out of time towards the end of the course- as a result, the latter materials were introduced hurriedly; I felt a little short changed.

Boyan is a god! Seriously, you don't even know. I love Boyan. He is book and totally rocks my socks. They should like totally give him some award or something, because he is so caring and thoughtful. Not to mention very HOT! I LOVE his Russian accent. Seriously, where else can you find a super smart Russian dude who is also an amazing teacher. He also writes really funny e-mails to us. And his lectures are really good. And he's funny. My TA Jukka was laid-back and cool. He helped us a lot with the HW. Jukka is from Europe too so that's fun. I was slightly disappointed with my grade of C-. I probably should not have joined the sorority last quarter.

I highly recommend this professor. He definetly makes class interesting with his witty remarks and awesome(yet comprehensible) russian accent. Go to his office hours! They help a lot and he recognizes students he's met there. He teaches well, answers questions in class, and cares about how well we understand things. (He'll review lessons if he feels the class doesn't understand it) For being a new teacher, I think he's done a really great job.

Kostadinov is a really fun guy. He's always cracking jokes and making us laugh. His accent is a little difficult to understand, but not impossible to follow if you're paying attention. His class has a really generous curve, which is fantastic. Overall he's a really funny and nice and generous guy. Good teacher.

Boyan is an awesome professor! He cracks jokes and makes everything really easy to understand. If it's hard to understand, then he goes over it until everyone does. He really cares about what students need help with and he gives fair tests and hw is easy (odd numbers so u can check answers). I got a D on both midterms and a C on the final and ended up with a B in the class. This class was great. wayyy better than brose (shes nice but class is really hard) so have a great tiem with boyan!

Professor Kostadinov is hilarious. He is constantly throwing jokes (professor jokes) into his lectures, and is I guess about average at actually teaching the material, but definitely better than the book does. The homework committment is at most like 2 hours a week, so not that much. He really cares about his students, and practically gives away the questions before the exams, but yet you still learn because you need to know the fundamentals to be able to even understand where to start on the problems. I would highly reccommend him as a professor, he makes the lectures somewhat interesting (compensation for the early 9am), and you learn as well. Not a useless math lecture, it helps to go.
