Prof. Beiderwell cares about student learning but grades unfairly. One must write in a perspective he sees. There's not much space open to form your own opinion. I worked twice as hard revision all fours essays and it wasn't enough because I had an opinion that wasn't the same as his.

I took this professor for English Composition 2. He is very good teacher. He helped me learn how to write an effective essay. He is also very nice and his discussions are well paced and interesting.

Beiderwell is a great teacher for English Composition 2. He taught me a lot about writing clearly and reading comprehensively. I credit this to his well-organized and efficient lectures (more like discussions). He's understanding and knowledgeable. Good work load and pace.

He teaches so much so clearly.

Good professor. Kinda bland for my taste but it's ENGLISH. You can't argue with that. The professor's way of writing a paper made writing the ONE paper very confusing. Each week I thought to myself what his intentions were beacuse I never understood them. The class is very easy in terms of workload (not sure about the grade). Good thing is that you have ONE 15-page paper to write and it is due at the end of the term.

Prof. Beiderwell is the best catch around. He is a very nice guy and he has an incredible passion for teaching. I got a B for English 3, even though I did not really deserve it. He might be a little biased in his standpoints on essays, but just write well or according to his opinions. Go to his office hours (a lot) and change your essays by his recommendations.

Prof. Beiderwell is a great professor. He cares a lot about his students. His lectures are engaging. Although I hardly participated in class discussions, you have a second opportunity to participate in an online class discussion. I think attending his OH is significant, and you get a feel for what he expects is a well written essay. On several occasions, he presents lessons on sentence structure, and all that little grammatical stuff, and I really thought the way he presented it is very effective and at the same time straightforward. Participation, off hours, and keeping up with assignments, especially writing well revised essays should earn you a solid grade in class.

Coming to UCLA and having Beiderwell as one of my first professors helped me transition well. He is thoughtful and caring. Any question is a good question. There's a lot of reading to be done in this class and about three essays to complete. Learn to love reading and to participate in the profound discussion. Overall, he is an excellent professor.

This professor is does his best to be available. I met with him on several occasions. The class is not too hard. I barely ever read but went to every class but one and i ended up with a B. My writing skills really improved too.

Beiderwell was a really great professor. he is really concerned about student learning and is willing to meet with you when to work on your essays. i believe the key to his class is attending office hours and making appointments. he has significantly helped me improve my writing skills - even though we only wrote 3 essays. i highly reccomend Beiderwell. He's a nice guy and a concerned professor. His class discussions are also quite engaging.
