Professor Thornburg was an outstanding professor. He really cared about students learning about practical business economics and drew on a lot of real world examples. He was also very accessible to students.

Thornberg = The Man! My favorite course of the quarter. Lectures were always interesting and engaging, and Thornberg does a great job of giving students a solid conceptual foundation in economics. Thornberg is clearly passionate about economics and genuinely cares about his students. Be warned: don't rely on only the lectures - you will need to spend a fair amount of time doing homework problems on your own to prepare for the number crunching portion of the exams.

All of the Professors my section had in the Fall Quarter were great, however, Professor Thornberg stood out as the best by far. For someone that didn't have a strong interest in economics prior to the course, he created such a dynamic learning experience that I look forward to future opportunities to take other economics courses taught by him. This was his first time teaching this course in the Core and he definitely seemed to make the class a priority. He consistently made updates to his slides to clarify points and ensure a comprehensive learning experience. The most enjoyable part of his class was his lecturing style. He was very energetic and connected immediately with the class. He concentrated on the intuition of economics rather than only formulas to give a deeper meaning to the subject matter. Fantastic Professor.

Thornberg's class was the best class I took last quarter. He really loves economics, and his excitement is contagious.

The most lousy course ever.
First: you do not learn anything
Second: his lecture his extremly boring and confusing, as his is very unorganized
Third: you work like a fool on nonsense projects
