Although the class was a little dry, i felt that i learned a lot that i will most definatly use in the future. She covered the material very well, and compared to my other classes (which wen't very exciting last 1/4 boooo) she actualy held my attention. What can u expect from psych 100B?!?! its bound to boring, but she taught it pretty well...id recomend her :)

This class isn't difficult but it is time consuming, especially when writing the first and final submission. There are two midterms in this class and you definitely have to be a good test taker, because the wording is tricky. You think you know the material...until you take the test. Prof. Bjork is a nice lady who structures and organizes her lectures well. She tried her best to explain to the class the key points regarding research methods in a short period of time.

I really didn't find her class to be bad at all. After all that I had heard about the difficulty of this class though, I really tried to stay on top of the reading, and I think it helps a lot. A lot of the material on the exam comes from the book. I found her lectures to be pretty organized as well. She seemed very nice and approachable and did a good job of fitting a lot of material into one lecture a week. Side note: the lecture component of the class is not as important as the lab sections, which is a change from the form of most Psych classes.

The lecture and exams in this class don't get a fair rap. It's really all about critical thinking and analysis--if you can do that you'll be fine in lecture. The prof is a bit slow and boring, but you'll get through. What you really need to worry about is section--if you get a bad TA like Jimmy you will be screwed! It's really worth it to switch sections if you get a bad TA, because it will make all the difference to have someone competant and clear.

I thought Professor Bjork was a very effective teacher. Psychology 100B has a bad reputation so I was a bit frightened entering this class. I was pleasantly surprised when I attended lectures. I didn't find the material difficult at all. The reading was alright too. I had a good TA (Aimee) who was very helpful. The exams based on lectures and the text were all multiple choice and very doable. But be prepared for questions like...A, B, both A and B, or none of the above. If you know the material, you can do well in this class. The big paper for the labs was not that difficult either. Once you get the hang of the APA style, everything goes fairly smoothly. Take this class with Bjork in the Summer preferably. It'll end before you know it and it won't hurt that badly...I promise!
