All Ratings and Reviews for F Nicholas Gunn
I Love Nick! He is really helpful. He's very caring and understanding of every student's needs. I would definitely recommend him to other students. He is very accessable, if you need any extra help just ask him and he will accomodate you. He's great!!!!
Nick (or Dr. Nick as I like to call him) is one of the most inspirational teachers I have had. Going into his class knowing next to nothing about dance, I have learned a wealth of information about ballet and I have actually been able to dance! He is one of the most positive people I know and even when I know that I am doing something REALLY wrong, his encouragement makes me do it right. He is always understanding and very willing to help anyone out whenever they need it. It has been a true pleasure to be in his class and though I am not in the Musical Theatre track I hope that I can continue to have the honor to participate in his classes. I highly recommend him to anyone, regardless of experiance. His teaching and class sessions are invaluable to any performer!
Professor Gunn is a very interesting professor. He has a genuine concern with student learning but his ego and self- importance hinder his efforts to make the student priority. This class is a required class for theater majors, but it is difficult at time to enjoy what you are doing due to Gunn's temper and immaturity. He has great ability to convey the potential magic of dance, but little respect for the vigor of proper dance developement..
Amazing! Best class for theatre freshman. and i know almost everyone agreed with me. take it even/especially if your not musical theatre. just give it one quarter, he is great. I have never taken ballet before and it was not something i was especially interested in but i learned a lot and now really enjoy it. and its excellent excersize.
Amazing, inspirational, helpful, and kind. I could go on and on about my complete adoration for this professor. I've heard the horror stories prior to joining his class but i tried to disregard them. You get out of this class what you put in. Your grade is reflective of your improvement, dedication (meaning attendance), and attitude in the class. Plain and simple. The horror stories come from students who did not follow the basic rules and decided to complicate things--bad idea on their part. Professor Gunn is a great friend and very understanding of any personal issue a student may have. Give him respect and you shall recieve respect. Wonderful professor, id recommend him to anyone.
