Dr. Moyle is by far and away my favorite teacher at UCLA. I took her English 3 class as a Freshman, and I just completed her 100W class last quarter. At a school as big as UCLA students rarely get to know there professors well, but Dr. Moyle makes it a focal point of each class to get to know her students and she befriends them. She holds conferences with each student every few weeks in order to work with them personally.
Most teachers at this school do not care about the students and more interested in their own success -- this is a negative aspect of big universities. However, Dr. Moyle not only believes that her students can learn from her, but she ultimately believes that she can learn just as much from her students. She looks at you as an equal, and as an adult this is what I always seek at a prestigious university like UCLA. Yes, Dr. Moyle is easy if you show effort and dedication in your pursuit to understand the material presented to you.
Hands down the best teacher at UCLA.

Dr. Moyle is great with students, and she makes time for everyone! She is very receptive to student's opinions and beliefs, and actually gets to know each student personally, in class and out. She even allowed our class to choose the weight of each assignment. Dr. Moyle truly promotes your personal growth and achievement!

She's a concerned professor who's always willing to help. The only problem with the class is that it tends to drag on and become boring. It's a tough class, but it's a good one

she is the bomb!! Best professor I ever had in my life and I went to school in France and Germany..never meet such an amazing teacher. Although I "only" got a B+ in her class i dont care. This woman is just amazing...she is as smart and creative as Hemmingway and she is funnier than Seinfeld. A kingdom for Dr.Moyle

Classes are very enjoyable and intellectually engaging. She is very fair, and could be labeled as "easy" depending on your writing skill.

Dr. Moyle is very caring and has great concern for student learning. She gives you a step-by-step guide on how to use library search engines and how to write a proper research paper - even if you don't like writing, this will become necessary eventually in the course of your college career. If you had to take a writing class, I definately recommend Dr. Moyle!

This was by far the easiest class I've taken since I've been to LA, but again I haven't been here for even a year yet. Anyway, Moyle is an easy grader. She tells us that she won't be stingy with her A(s) since we are not graded based on a curve. She cares so much about her student and have conferences after writing each essay. She even gives you a chance to revise your essays to turn it in! Best of all, there's only 2 essays! Most Eng Comp 3 classes have 5. Here's a warning though: if you don't like the immigration theme, then dont take it! The readings are pretty intense, and the topic is quite boring, but the teacher makes it all worth it.

Of all the professors in the cluster, Prof. Moyle was definitely the funniest and most entertaining. While some of her lectures were irrelevent to the class(The Ax comes to mind) I would say that she a refreshing change to the other professors. Her lectures are about the novels we read in class so they are actually interesting.
