All Ratings and Reviews for Ivan Dimitrov
I took math 31B thru 33B here at UCLA and he was
the best profs I had. He's lectures were clear
and his was very helpful during his office hours.
You would do okay if you do you hw (he didn't let
us turn in the hw) and go to his review sections
I had him for Math 32A in Winter 00 - Go to his review sessions before the midterms, they are very helpful.
Also go to office hours...the material isnt easy, but he will help you out!!!
Dang. I should have taken Dimitrov for 32A instead of White. Dimitrov is an excellent professor. He teaches as if he wrote the Math 32B book. His lectures are really thorough, and he explains with plenty of examples so you can work out the problems on your own. He is a bit tough, but if you attend every lecture and do the homework, it should be not to hard to get an "A" in the class.
A true professional.
He is one of the better professors for math. He is very fair on his midterms and he knows what he's doing. He always lectures on proofs which make the lectures a bit hard to follow.
If you go to class, you are fine.. btw he is all about the proofs
He never smiles, and he is tough tough tough...but he has a generous curve, and if you listen well, you should be fine...
Good professor. I wish i had him for all my math courses. By far he's the best math professor i've had, but then that could because i've had some horrible profs to compare him with. His review sessions before the midterms and final are very helpful since he goes over everything you'll need to know in a relatively short amount of time.
In his mind he makes so much sence. But if you don't listen really well in class, then you'll get lost in a heart beat. But go to office hours, talk with him, he will explain something to you in 100 ways until you get it. The class is tough, but what 32A class isn't.
this guy is awesome
