He's a really funny guy, but not the best teacher i've ever had. He spends too much time explaining the easy stuff and then skips over harder steps. but if you don't mind his accent, the class really isn't too bad. and the midterms are easy.

Although Verdera's symbols seem too "European" for some (I mean, how long does it take to remember that a comma for him is the same thing as a decimal point for us?) he has neat handwriting and a clear way of explaining things. What more could you ask for in a math professor? A sense of humor, maybe? He's got that, too.

I think I'd do better if I could understand him and his symbols.

Verdera is SUCH a good proffesser. I am SO glad that I didn't transfer out of his class the first day. I hated him at first because I didn't understand his Engish but then I realized that he was the best proffesser for that class. His explanations are very clear and his writing is very neat and easy to understand. He really cares about his students understanding the material. If you want to take math with a good professor, he's it!

I think Verdera is one of the easiest math teachers. He is very funny with his Spanish accent. I enjoy his class although it is sometimes boring. Overall, his class is easy and he is an excellent teacher.

professor verdera is the man. although he may dab in "black magic", his dry spanish humor well made up for it. c'mon, if i can get a B in the class anybody can. although there were some rude kids in the class, who would interupt the class regularly with their brand of hilarious humor, professor verdera would keep them in check with a swift "what is so funny? (insert sweet spanish accent here)"

"Eees very very simple" take him as a professor.

This professor is one of the best I have encountered so far. His European accents and customs may make communication a little awkward at times but he is an effective teacher and he will spend time with you until you understand. Additionally, he is very considerate and he'll help your grades too if you try your hardest. Joan kicks ass!

I thought he was a great prof. He explains things clearly for the most part, and seems to care about his students. His accent definately makes lecture funnier and more entertaining, but he always makes sure that everyone understands what he is saying. I didn't find myself getting bored very often either.

This class was great! Verdera loves making jokes about his microphone and Enrique Iglesias... which certainly kept my attention during a math class. Besides his jokes, he did a good job preparing us for the midterms and finals, just make sure you do the practice tests and you will do just fine!

I think Professor Verdera was quite funny. He tried to make the lectures fun although for the first half of the quarter most of it was review. He does have an accent, but you can still understand him and he does try to have his students understand the math. I just wish I could have gotten more sleep so I could stay awake in his class, but other than that, he was a really cool teacher. I wouldn't mind recommending him.
