I took Kaiser in Winter '01 for Psychology 100A (Statistics). He loves using Powerpoint slides and loves assigning homework. The tests are fairly difficult because he works to establish a distribution. He's a pretty funny guy as well.

Kaiser is funny and he really wants his students to get this stuff. Although you may walk out of lecture confused at times, if you go over his example problems later on your own you get it. I would recommend him, although you have homework almost every week the TAs really help you out.

Prof. Kaiser makes good use of his power point slides that he posts online, but they do often have typos so it's best to go to lecture and follow along to make changes on your copy of the lecture notes. He is a very youthful and funny guy who tries to make the subject interesting. His exams are pretty straightforward and as long as you stay on track with the readings and attend lecture consistenly, it's not too hard to get a good grade.

I wouldn't advize anyone taking this class, especially at night, you start falling asleep. I have straight a's except for this class where i almost failed it. I woudn't want to sit through stats at night with this earthlink professor if you paid me 1000 bucks!!!

PSYCH 100A Submitted July 14, 2001 Grade Received: N/A

I had a class with him at 6pm, which is a weird time, but I only skipped once because I really liked the class. He is very enthusiastic about what he is doing, and he will go over things over and over if there are questions. Keep up with the homework because the material gets really confusing at the end. Other than that I thought it was a great class and he always kept us awake.

I had 100A with him... Hate the time schedule - deciding between dinner and lecture is such a bummer. His lectures are entertaining - very funny man. However, everything is done in Power Point - gives you that extra incentive to fall asleep. I usually left lecture feeling confused. The review session with the TA makes you want to bang your head on the writing tablet. The workbook was the most helpful thing - if you take him, spend the extra $ and buy it.

I found him to be a very helpful, enthusiastic teacher, who brought real-life experiences into the classroom

Proffessor Kaiser loves to talk about earthlink (the place he works) and gives out his email, yet says, don't email me. He also tells thhe class that certain things are not going to be on the exams or final, then they appear. I took a stats class a year ago, and got an A, but from him I didn't even pass. Professor Kaiser has a loud clear voice and is enthusiastic about his class, but that is about all the positive stuff I can say about him. He has many mistakes in his lecture notes, about a couple a week, and there were mistakes on the homework, exam, and final. The exam and final also have material that were not even presented in class. I dont recomend him. He cares more about his image of being a tough proffessor than about the students
