I recommend Dr. Taylor to anyone who wants a rigorous, impressionable, dynamic, and above all pleasurable experience from their educational endeavors. Her passion and dedication to the field of social psychology are unsurpassed; they're as salient in her lectures as they are in her publications (not to mention her eloquent speech). She's tough, though. But, I guarentee you'll learn something, while at the same time feeling that someone really cares that you did. All-in-all, I give her a 10!

PSYCH 136A Submitted Aug. 14, 2002 Grade Received: N/A

Dr. Taylor was awesome! She was always interesting, concerned, and realistic about her assignments. This is probably the best psych lab you can take! I thought the labs would be torture since they lasted so long, but working with Dr. Taylor was enjoyable and I never fell asleep! Her tests were really fair and there were no surprises or tricks, and she actually (dare I say) made research methods interesting and fun.

PSYCH 136A Submitted March 15, 2002 Grade Received: N/A

An absolute pleasure in the classroom. She is incredibly knowledgable and has a knack for making things make sense for you. I never thought I would love a research methods course this much! Her lectures are amazingly clear, concise, and practical. Moreover, she always makes her students feel welcome and at ease and encourages student input, consequently spurring great classroom discussions. I could not give a better recommendation for a professor.

I took her psych 136a lab and I'm not going to lie, quite possibly the greatest professor and human being alive.

A very classy, very knowledgable, very caring, very reasonable, very efficient, very fair professor. She has inspired me and will inspire you as well if you take a class with her. I can not say enough about her professionalism and her caring as a teacher. Probably the best professor I have had in all my years at UCLA. You will not be disappointed if you take her class. I give her my highest recommendation.

I LOVE DR. TAYLOR!!!! she is an amazing teacher. She's brilliant but yet very humble, making herself very approachable. She made research methods fun and exciting. you know a teacher is good when you look forward to going to class each time. She is a very interesting lecturer and she is able to link research methods to many fun examples of real studies done in the past. made class interesting and fun. creating an experiment in that class was one of the best experiences i've had here at UCLA. Dr. Taylor was helpful at every step, offering even her personal email and home phone number to help as much as she could. tests were not bad at all either.

There is NOTHING bad about Dr. Taylor. I wish every professor could be as good as her, with the perfect balance of professionalism but also genuine kindness and concern for her students. SHE IS INCREDIBLE!!!!

obviously, i read these reviews before taking her class and all of the positive reviews are true. she has a bright personality and is very caring. she is available outside of class and no doubt, she tried almost everything to help us with our final papers. she even told us her home phone number. the class consisted of 1 midterm, 1 final exam and 1 final paper. her exams are easy. just make sure you go to class everyday because that's what she tests you on. what you learn from lecture (first half of class), make sure you know that stuff well. the class is very flexible and interesting. i really like social psychology, but Dr Taylor made me like this area of psychology more. true, you have to write another 100B kind of final paper with APA guidelines and stuff but I think it was a lot easier and better than 100B. i highly recommend her and trust me, you will love her.
