he's a cold prof. he's mainly a applied math grad school prof so he's kind of cold to the undergrad students taking upper div courses. he expects his students to know everything before the material he teaches. his lectures are quite slow at the beginning of the quarter and then towards the end, he knows he's behind so he zooms through 15 sections in 2 weeks. it was a killer. his exams are fair except the fact that he put on hard questions on the final regarding the material he zoomed by on. that's why i gave him a 7, b/c he expects too much from undergrad students and he probably will go faster towards the end of the quarter.

he is quite friendly to students who knows the level set method. Very funny and casual style, but sometimes sarchastic. Overall, I like him so much !

Professor Osher is very knowledgeable.
He is also very nice to his students.
If you want to learn level set methods,
you must learn from him.
