he seems really arrogant, and wants to drill through your head that he has so many degrees
he makes you memorize stupid little details, like the micro-layers of a tree. think twice about taking him, in fact, think three times

Best science professor I have had at my experience at UCLA. Had him for OBEE 110 Vertebrate Morphology. Made lectures enjoyable, and was a very fair professor. Very accessible, either through email or through office hours. Highly recommended.

Professor Anyonge made his lectures very interesting.
He's funny and intelligent and presented the material
in an effective way.

I took this professor for LS1. I'm finishing LS3 now, and I would have to say that out of all of my LS lecturer, Anyounge was the best. He wasn't boring and he moves at a good pace. His lecture style is effective in helping you learn the material. Other LS professors would show a bunch of detailed slides and expect you to know every thing on it. But Anyounge writes out on the board what you needed to know and that was very helpful.

If people honestly thisnk anyonge is bad, they need to get a clue. He was a good prof. I would like to see if they still think he is the worst after having a few rounds of Dr Fain in ls 2 ....wake up pre-meds! It only gets worse from here.

Why is it that all the really bad reviews of Dr. Anyonge are anonymous. That is what is so bogus about this site... they say he has 75 ratings, but 70 could be from the same student, who probably blew off the class and got a bad grade. Dr. Anyonge may not be the best prof. at UCLA, but to say he is the worst or to suggest that he doesn't care about the students is a complete load of junk.

I had him for the first half of BIO 2 about 3 years ago. He was an incredible lecturer and very entertaining. That was in a non-major class though, so maybe he is different in the tough science classes. I loved the class and did OK in it (until Jackson took over), so he must have been doing something right!

I took professor Anyonge for OBEE 110 and I enjoyed him very much. He is a very humorous, fun-loving type of guy, and he is very nice and available outside the classroom. Those qualities in themselves help him be a great professor, because he is always willing to help his students. He is very organized in his lectures, and although there is a lot of information, its just a matter of memorizing it, like any other Biology class. His tests are very fair, and he even gives clear hints as to what to focuss on. OBEE 110 is without a doubt challenging (a lot of material and time), but it is definitely a question of how much work you put in to it rather than Dr. Anyonge's level of efficiency.

I do not understand where all this hostility toward Anyonge is coming from. I had him for LS1 last Winter and found him to be really cool. I thought he was funny and an all around nice guy. I got a B in the class, so I don't think he was too hard. I found him easier than Zimmer, who taught the other half. I really liked him and would recommend him--everyone else must have just gotten crappy grades. The negativity is coming straight out of bitterness--he's fair and really great.
