Goddamn awful place to live.
1. Loud assholes living at 556 midvale avenue. Must have called the cops at least 30 times over the year on those fuckers. If your bedroom faces the pool you are in for a bad time.
2. Loud assholes living in the building itself. Expect 5 parties a quarter at the very least in the building itself. If you are lucky your walls won't be shaking, but if some basic girl named something like Samantha decides to celebrate her birthday all bets are off.
3. No ventilation in the bathroom. This means tremendous mold. More mold than I've ever seen in my life in one place. Landlord said it's nothing. Typical.
4. If your window faces Glenrock, assholes in the parking garage sing and play music at 7:30 AM every morning.
5. When we got the place, there was dust and shit everywhere from the renovations that were going on before our move in.
6. We lost $400 from our security deposit to reglaze a tub that was in a shitty state when we got the place (illegal).
7. Only one washer/drier for the entire apartment. Washer once broke for 5 days. Not good.
8. Some windows hardly stay open, others require tremendous effort to open/close.
Don't live here. Just don't do it.
Do NOT live here. The building has termites, the heating is broken in multiple units (which is illegal in CA), other apartments had rats and black mold... The list goes on and on. For what is being asked for rent, you could get a lot better apartments in Westwood with much better landlords. The landlord here is by far the worst I ever dealt with. Would NOT recommend this apartment to anyone.
