I won't even let my parents see this place. The mold and scummy shower grout, that doesn't come off with any professional cleaning agents, is enough to make me vomit. This is the most disgusting place I've ever lived in, and the worst part is that it's filthy upon arrival.

This place is dirty. Flies, spiders, cockroaches everywhere. Would never live here again.

I am a senior and have never reviewed anything on this site but felt the need to comment on a miserable, miserable year at this apartment building. If you are looking for a place in Westwood, AVOID this place at all costs. When I was looking for a place around this time last year, I was looking for a 2 bedroom apartment in a quiet building away from the Westwood party scene and while it ended up being a quiet 2 bedroom apartment, the rules here are ridiculous and make the quality of life extremely low. You NEVER can have even a nice, quiet dinner with friends at this place, as Eugene the landlord bangs on the door and threatens to kick you out. You NEVER can have your sibling stay over, even for ONE NIGHT, as this guy seems to watch everyone who comes through the front door and obnoxiously bangs on the door demanding identification from your sibling, and then demanding that she leaves right away. Forget about asking for any maintenance, as Eugene just howls at you when you ask him for anything, saying he is "not a hotel concierge" and makes a huge hassle of something even as simple as changing a lightbulb. I should've known how terrible of a year this was going to be the minute I signed the lease papers, as just dealing with Eugene was awful in the beginning, but his rules are over time top and you will not enjoy this place for one minute. AVOID at all costs.

Good things about this place:
-Pretty good deal for a 1 bedroom place walking distance to campus. Monthly rent was $1500, so split with a roommate was $750.
-It was really spacious; the bedroom was huge and had 2 closets - 1 walk-in, the other was 2 large sliding doors' length. (However, our unit was a corner unit so I'm not sure if that made a difference compared to other units.)
-1 Parking spot is included w/ rent.
-Walking isn't that bad; its a 5-minute brisk walk to the shuttle, or 20 mins. walk to campus.
-Maintenance can be either hit or miss. We sent in requests at the beginning of the year when we moved in; for example - our stove was broken, they said they needed to order a part and would be fixed within a week, but they never fixed it. Other times throughout the year when he put in maintenance requests, they were resolved very quickly, same-day sometimes.

BAD:
-Bathroom was kind of gross; the bath sliding door had crusty stuff that wouldn't come off after trying to clean it. The drain was entirely rusty as well. Mildew along the tub.
-Eugene, the manager is a horrible guy. Zero tolerance for even the most minute noise. Don't let a visiting friend park in your space - he'll have it towed without warning. If you have even just a small get together he'll bang on your door and threaten to call the police and make everyone leave (happened when it was just 5 girls, talking at a low volume). He treats you like you're stupid and tries to intimidate you by threatening you. He threatened to have us expelled, arrested, etc. etc. "I have the power to ruin your life. You have no idea what I can do to you."
-Amir Development, the owners of the complex, is one of the shadiest businesses ever. I moved out several months ago and have yet to receive my deposit. I've been badgering them constantly, and they keep giving inconsistent answers. Now they tell me that I did receive my check and cashed it, and I should check MY bank records. WTF?!!!

If it weren't for Eugene, and Amir Development, I would have probably enjoyed living here and wanted to stay another year. But after receiving such horrible treatment, it's not worth it. NOT RECOMMENDED.

An ok apartment pretty far from campus, and the manager eugene is a difficult and unpleasant person to deal with, and treats students like crap. I would not recommend other UCLA students to rent here.

The apartment itself is comfortable and spacious. My kitchen isn't the best, but the apartment's maintenance is pretty quick. Whenever we request anything to be fixed, they fix it the next day. I don't like how we can't get more than 2 parking spaces, because I've noticed many empty spots in the parking garage. Overall, it's pretty quiet and I've never had any real problems with my neighbors.
