Not an overall terrible professor. Honestly, she tries. Unfortunately this subject was just so boring, especially if you're a south campus major like I am. I wound up in this class because I needed extra units. However, it makes the class easier for me. Every now and then she'll have her ditz moments that make you want to stand up in the middle of class and say "Seriously..." She tries to make her lectures more interesting with very poor jokes which really only she laughs at. Lecture is, as far as the information is concerned, useless because power points are online and her lecture is podcasted. But she does have 4 random pop quizes in lectures. To give you an idea of how boring and tedious this class is, I am writing this review while in her class.

Spring 2020 - Your grade is based on online activities/homework (23%), discussion attendance/worksheets (12%), midterm (25%), and final (40%). The homework and discussion activities are relatively easy but you genuinely need to study for the exams. As in, re-watch the lectures and pay attention to the details, because you'll get a C if you just look over the slides. My main complaint is how poorly written the exam questions were, especially given how heavily weighted the exams are in the overall grade. Like, I went to office hours to go over what I got wrong on my midterm, and for most of the questions, the professor was like, "Oh yeah, that question's kind of ambiguous" and just moved on. I will say that he was pretty helpful over email/office hours about other course-related things though. Anyway, if you have good study habits, this class is an easy A. Overall would recommend.

If you would have asked me before i got the grade in this class, i would have told everyone to never take this class. First, Air Pollution was extremely boring. Professor Turco is a pretty boring lecturer too so all and all it made for a majority of the class sleeping in his class every lecture. Furthermore, basically everything you need to know is in the slides so going to lecture can be kind of pointless, but you pretty much have to go to lecture because he give pop quizzes and there are no make-ups. Needless to say, my TA was really good, but i heard the other TA could barely speak english and most people didn't grasp any of the concepts. Also, the midterm and final were really hard and tricky even though i studied a lot for that class. Despite everything i just said- I got an A in the class. I have no idea how, but i did. So i don't know if every quarter has an extremely high curve, but if it does, maybe someone might consider taking this class. I, though, think that it was too much effort for a GE.
