Production: Moving Image and Sound

Description: Studio, four hours. Limited to Art majors. Not open for credit to students with credit for course 20. Moving image and sound production and post-production techniques, tools, and processes, including instruction in basics of shooting, editing, output, and display. Familiarization with production skills, equipment, setups, and standard practices used in creation of moving image and/or sound works. Instruction in use of cameras, lights, and microphones, and shooting and recording setups and techniques, including handheld, fig-rig, dolly-shots, and green screens. Introduction to and development of familiarity with post-production software and processes of editing, animating, exporting, and presenting high-quality sound and moving image works. Letter grading.
