I received an A-. TA's grade everything. Use the university images and her online lecture notes to create flashcards. Memorize, memorize, memorize. Tests are pure regurgitation. Seek TA help and approval for your paper and you will be fine. An A is TOTALLY in reach if you put in the time, memorize the correct material, and give it a true effort. And studying isn't half bad- you're looking at pictures! Definitely recommended for a GE!

If you take this class, make sure you're actually interested in the subject matter. I, personally, could barely recognize all the "patterns" that the professor referred to for the art of specific civilizations. I struggled just trying to remember them all because of how little interest I had in the class. Lectures are important! She shares a lot of information for the different pieces that will be on the exams. Your grade really depends on your TA, some are pickier with the details than others.

I really loved this class. Professor Sonik gives a lot of work. There are weekly readings and home works. The class consists of two exams, weekly home works based on completion, and three writing exercises that require you to draw a picture. She also gives you a notecard for the exams.

To be honest I never did any of the weekly readings, and skimmed through the readings required to do the home works. That being said I literally wrote down everything she said in class. Overall, I loved this class and think Professor Sonik is an amazing lecturer.

Overall grade: A+
