Fall 2025 - This class was about "Advanced Optical Microscopy", and I found it very fun and enjoyable and a relatively low stress class. The first half or so is about building up on the foundations of physics (geometric and wave optics), doing problem sets and a midterm on the material (lots of math - just algebra and very fun). The second half of the class focused on more fancy and modern microscopy techniques which was also very fun and interesting and there was also one day of field trip to CNSI to see the microscope in person. The final involved solving a biological problem with one of the microscopy techniques we learned, presenting it and writing a report on it. Overall a very fun and interesting class, and prof Gao is very nice and helpful with any questions also.
