Description: Lecture, three hours; discussion, one hour. Requisites: courses 250A, 255. Recommended: course M215. Time-to-event data arise in many fields, such as medicine, reliability theory, demography, sociology, economics, and astronomy. Overview of common stochastic process models and methods for analysis of such data. Examples include continuous-time Markov chain and semi-Markov models, and frailty and copula models. S/U or letter grading.
