Most Helpful Review
Taking this class was the single best decision I made in college. Professor Hogue completely detaches from the classroom for this one, and lets her students apply the things they've learned to actual fieldwork. The 5-day field trip is really fun (though exhausting) and is one of those trips you will never forget. The classes are generally really small, so you get to know your classmates and your group well, making it much easier to work with them. There is no midterm and luckily she didn't give us a final (though she was planning on it I think), so putting a lot of effort into each lab report will pretty much get you a good grade. She seems to grade easily for this class as long as you put in an honest attempt to complete everything. The lab reports are quite long, but I've heard they're not as bad as those in 157L. If you can find room in your schedule and are at all interested in water resources, you MUST take this class. You won't regret it.
