Hazardous Waste Site Investigation and Remediation
Description: Lecture, four hours; outside study, eight hours. Requisites: courses 150, 153, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering 103. Overview of hazardous waste types and potential sources. Techniques in measuring and modeling subsurface flow and contaminant transport in subsurface. Design project illustrating remedial investigation and feasibility study. Letter grading.

Winter 2022 - The class set up is interesting, the first half of the quarter there was homework and a midterm. For the second half, most of the time was dedicated to a group project. Groups of 4+ people with a research paper and presentation at the end. Lecture materials were interesting and the project wasn't so bad, professor and TA give a lot of help.
