Professional Practice
Description: Lecture, two hours; outside study, three hours. Requisite: one course from 121, 141, 142, 151, 155 (may be taken concurrently). Sustainability in design (e.g., LEED certification for building projects), professional licensure (PE, SE, and GE), project management (proposals, scheduling, and budgeting), business, public policy, leadership, ethics, earthquake loads, wind loads, load combinations, and environmental impact reports. Letter grading.

Fall 2024 - Basically, one lecture per week, attendance mandatory unless you get someone to take tell you the attendance quiz answer. Very boring lectures, I don't think anyone ever paid attention. There are some online quizzes, 4 partner assignments (2 of which involve calculations, the first two are more qualitative). No final exam. Pretty easy and simple class.
