Description: Lecture, four hours; outside study, eight hours. Requisites: courses M230B, 232. Elastic, anisotropic stress-strain-temperature relations. Analysis of prismatic beams by three-dimensional elasticity. Analysis of laminated anisotropic plates and shells based on classical and first-order shear deformation theories. Elastodynamic behavior of laminated plates and cylinders. Letter grading.
