Fall 2025 - In this class, there are weekly readings as well as a film that we are required to watch. For the film, a reflection of 300 words must be written by the end of the week. In the discussion groups will take turns presenting the topics of the film they have chosen. The midterm for this class was a personal essay about your own life, where you needed to integrate the topics that we had been discussing in class up to that point. The professor gives a very clear rubric of what is expected in the essay and what is required to get an A in the paper. For the final it is another 6-7 page paper were you pick from one of the movies we saw during the quarter and explain how the concepts of the class aply to this movie (Not all movies are elegible for the paper, the proffesor will list the movies the paper can be about in the rubric), the paper does need a combination of both citations from at least 2 readings and citations from at least 2 lectures. For the final paper, the professor once again gives a really detailed rubric of what is expected and what needs to be in the paper to be considered an A paper The lectures are engaging, and the professor encourages students to participate with their own understanding or personal experiences. The lectures are not recorded, and the slides are not published, so the best advice is to take good notes for the eventual lecture citations that are needed for the final
