Description: (Formerly numbered Chicana and Chicano Studies M146.) (Same as Spanish M155A.) Lecture, three hours. Enforced requisite: Spanish 25 or 27. Introduction to major Chicano narrative genres--novel, romance, satire, autobiography, cronicón/semblanza, Chicana detective novel, and Chicana solidarity fiction. Texts examined within their own geographic, cultural, and historical contexts, as well as within history of narrative forms. P/NP or letter grading.
