Description: Seminar, two hours; field placement, eight hours. Limited to juniors/seniors. Service learning placement in community-based organization, labor union, or service-oriented nonprofit organization. Study of role that these organizations play in improvement and change of Chicana/Chicano communities. Students meet on regular basis with instructor and provide periodic reports of their experience. Individual contract with supervising faculty member required. Letter grading.
