Summer 2020 - Professor Valenzuela is a great professor! He is very kind and passionate about his field of work. Workload was honestly pretty heavy, but that's understandable. He is very helpful and willing to accommodate students as long as you reach out!! I had a specific incident that was really troubling and he responded very helpfully and compassionately. The lectures were hard to follow at times since they don't have much structure but I did appreciate his use of closed captioning! My favorite part of the class was the "hangouts" that he would host (over zoom due to remote learning) where students could just hang out with him and have conversations! It was really cool that he wanted to get to know us all better.
