Winter 2021 - TAKE THIS CLASS WITH THIS PROFESSOR!!! Professor Beckmann is a top-notch instructor here at UCLA. I am so happy that I had the chance to be taught by her. I took her during COVID so she was super understanding how situations are different for each of her students. She records lectures, uploads slides, and answers every single question on the Zoom call and later uploads them on CCLE. It is clear that she is super passionate. I hope I get to take a class with her again in the future. Her class consists of check-in quizzes (completion), 2 quizzes (there are 3; take all 3 and she drops the lowest), 2 writing assignments (no more than 1200 words), and a final project. She provides extra credit too! Definitely recommend taking her; you won't regret it. My TA was Carly Pope; 10/10. Carly was friendly and did a great job having a section at 8 am.

Best professor I had last quarter! She is really funny and she really wants students to do well in the class. I thought it was going to be a boring class but it turned out to be super interesting. If you attend lectures you don't have to do the reading because she covers everything in class. You should definitely take this class if you have the chance.
