Description: Lecture, three hours; discussion, one hour. Requisites: course 210 or prior social sciences courses. Media utilization, media effects, media content, media advocacy, media literacy, health journalism, video and audio storytelling techniques, new media, entertainment education, and transmedia. Competencies: media content analysis, writing popular nonfiction (blogs, journalism), creating and evaluating effective communications using popular media. Letter grading.
