Public Diplomacy
Description: Seminar, four hours. Exploration of field of public diplomacy and its theory and practices. How points of view and imagery in context of international politics can be influenced and changed. Development of presentation skills and understanding of structure of profession. Letter grading.

Fall 2018 - It was not a horrible class but honestly, I didn't learn anything. The class would be better as a lecture in my opinion. Since it was a seminar we literally sat in a huge circle and talked about public diplomacy but literally nobody knew what they were talking about and Sanders (although a smart guy) was all over the place and didn't seem like he knew what was going on either. The "TA" was literally in my grade and transferred to UCLA when I did. The only reason he was the supposed TA was because he took Sanders other class the quarter before (meaning he had never taken a Public Diplomacy class!). There was a group project, final paper, and weekly discussions. Average class overall, if looking for an easy A I'd choose something else before this.
