History of Sexology

Description: Seminar, one hour. Introduction to history of sex research from 19th century to present. Topics include German origins of sex research, eugenics, homosexuality, female sexuality, sexual behavior, Kinsey reports, sex therapy, gender identity, feminism, AIDS crisis, and current state of discipline. Weekly readings and reflections culminating in final project. P/NP grading. Facilitated by Gillian Parker, with Michael W. Suman as faculty mentor.
