Nonverbal Communication and Body Language

Description: (Same as Psychology M137B.) Lecture, three hours. Examination of how various forms of nonverbal communication convey meaningful information to perceivers, with focus on both production and perception of multiple communication formats (e.g., affect expression of face and body, gesture, and kinematics), with strong emphasis on body language. Readings from variety of related fields. P/NP or letter grading.
