Description: (Same as Labor and Workplace Studies M172.) Lecture, three hours. Focus on concept of freedom of expression in workplace and how First Amendment, case law, and federal and state statutes affect one's ability to speak at work. Conflict between discrimination law and ability to speak freely at work as well as meaning and limits of academic freedom. P/NP or letter grading.
