EC ENGR 115E
Design Studies in Electronic Circuits
Description: Lecture, four hours; discussion, one hour; outside study, seven hours. Enforced requisite: course 115B. Description of process of circuit design through lectures to complement other laboratory-based design courses. Topics vary by instructor and include communication circuits, power electronics, and instrumentation and measurement and may entail simulation-based design projects. Emphasis throughout on design-oriented analysis and rigorous approach to practical circuit design. Letter grading.

Spring 2025 - I am a huge fan of Prof Darabi's teaching. There were only 2 homework assignments and they were quite computationally intense (start early)! but ultimately, exams were much more manageable, with nice round numbers that do not require a calculator (even though you're allowed to bring one with graphing functionality). It was interesting to learn about the practical applications of RLC circuits in filtering and synthesizing transfer functions.
