Fundamentals of Embedded Networked Systems

Description: (Formerly numbered Electrical Engineering M119.) (Same as Computer Science M119.) Lecture, four hours; discussion, one hour; outside study, seven hours. Requisites: course 131A or Civil and Environmental Engineering 110 or Mathematics 170A or Statistics 100A, course 132B or Computer Science 118, Computer Science 33. Design trade-offs and principles of operation of cyber physical systems such as devices and systems constituting Internet of Things. Topics include signal propagation and modeling, sensing, node architecture and operation, and applications. Letter grading.
