Winter 2022 - Currently taking it -- Haanwinckel is a nice guy but TERRIBLE teacher if he's teaching anything for Spring 2022 try ur best to find a different professor. He makes jokes about how many typos there are on his slides, had a question on our midterm where none of the answers were right, consistently puts confusing concepts on slides and then ends it with "you don't have to know this", and overall has trouble putting his thoughts in an intuitive way while teaching. Worst professor I've had at UCLA so far.

Very organized lectures. Gives sample midterm and final a few days before so you can study. Tests are the exact same format as the reviews. Don't get the book, it's worthless. Discussions are worthwhile if you have a good TA. If you attend all lectures and discussions and can grasp the material pretty well you will get a good grade. Review sessions by the TAs are pretty worthless. All they do is go over the sample midterm/final, which is what they do during discussion during that week anyways.
