Monetary Economics IV

Description: Lecture, three hours. Requisites: courses 202A, 202B, 202C. Emphasis on applied macroeconomics, with topic change each year. Students select one particular data set to study. Each week class studies article from recent work in applied macroeconomics or applied econometrics that teaches one technique or suggests one theoretical restriction on data. Subgroups of students report back to class using technique on their selected data set. S/U or letter grading.
