Social Research in Multicultural and Postcolonial World

Description: Lecture, four hours. Philosophy of social sciences that focuses on how to think fruitfully about two issues: (1) inevitability of nonneutral procedures and results of research conducted within liberal state that must be committed to value-neutrality and (2) challenges that multicultural and postcolonial social theory have raised to conventional research theories and methodologies. Letter grading.
