Instructional Strategies in Urban Education: Special Populations

Description: Lecture, four hours. Emphasis on instructional practices that support special populations in urban public schools. Continuation of study of statutory provisions, curriculum, instruction, and assessment issues related to teaching students with disabilities, students who are at risk, and students who are gifted and talented. Research opportunities, additional methods in content areas for advanced study, and preparation of MEd inquiry included. Letter grading.
