Restoring Civility: Understanding, Using, and Resolving Conflict

Description: (Same as Chicana and Chicano Studies M174A.) Lecture, one hour; discussion, three hours. Course M145A is enforced requisite to M145B. Designed for students who want to learn principles of dialogue and mediation, as alternatives to violence, and practice how to apply them in educational settings. In Progress grading (credit to be given only on completion of course M145B).

Fall 2017 - Guys, this is the best class I have ever taken. You learn how to mediate and listening skills. Super easy, one journal a week, no tests! Fall is in class and you learn, and then winter you go to South LA schools and actually help the community!
