Statistical Analysis with Latent Variables

Description: (Same as Statistics M244.) Lecture, three hours. Requisites: courses 231A, M231B. Introduction to general latent variable modeling framework. Important special cases of this framework include confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation models, item response models, latent class models, and multilevel models, among others. Topics include discussions of general statistical and computational framework, model formulation, identification, estimation, and testing. Letter grading.
