Modeling in Ecological Research

Description: Lecture, two hours; discussion, two hours. Recommended requisite: course C119A. Advanced techniques in mathematical and computational modeling of ecological dynamics and other population dynamic problems. Independent research projects developed by students. Topics include model formulation, stochastic models, fitting models to data, sensitivity analysis, presentation of model results, and other topics from current literature. Concurrently scheduled with course C219B. P/NP or letter grading.
