Description: Lecture, four hours; discussion, one hour (when scheduled). Enforced requisite: English Composition 3 or 3H. Study of historical backgrounds and development of types of children's literature, folklore and oral tradition, criticism, illustration, and bibliography and/or analysis and evaluation of literature intended mainly for students in junior and senior high schools. P/NP or letter grading.
