Spring 2023 - Great class! Prof. Deutsch was passionate and knowledgeable. The professor was straightforward and didn't mince words; she often spoke out about sometimes delicate and perhaps taboo topic, in a educated and respectful way. The class was an easy A, granted you kept up with all of the reading, participated in class and were capable at producing quality writing. This class gave us a us a chance to really dive into Jonathan Swift, and understand the nuances in his writing as well as his person. I would definitely recommend this class and take similar classes offer by Prof. Deutsch.

Summer 2019 - I have nothing bad to say about this professor. Apart from sort of harsh grading, all other aspects of her teaching are amazing. To be honest, I am proud of achieving an A-, in the course she makes individuals work pretty hard for their grades. She helps academically and in regards to your personal life. I believe she has left academia, but a great English professor nonetheless-- she actually helped me reach the conclusion of possibly pursuing the career path.
