Spring 2023 - I took the the Animation, Myth and Folklore Fiat Lux and it was one of my favourite classes at UCLA. We mainly watched cartoons and heard the history behind them. Prof Nagy was obviously very knowledgeable and passionate about the topic. We had a required final presentation about any animation or cartoon that we liked which was very simple and honestly open to interpretation. Professor Nagy also brought us milk and cookies on the last day which was very sweet.

Winter 2017 - I think this class was very fun, but there was a lot of writing, which is to be expected in a writing class, but it was about as much work as some of my 5 unit classes but it was only one unit. Stefans was really nice and I liked his class! the assignments were fun for the most part. I would take it again, especially if i didn't have a lot of other writing heavy classes!

I took Professor Watson for Eng Comp 3. She is very caring professor. Her essay prompts are kinda hard to do, but she is more than willing to help you out if you go to her office hours. There were a lot of short writing assignments, which were tedious to do but they really help you hone your writing skills and help you prepare for your actual essay. There are four essays, which is a lot for only 10 weeks. First is a memoir, then a lit analysis, a summary and comparison of two positions, and finally a policy paper. I recommend taking this class if you have a lot of time on your hand. She is an excellent professor. Attend her office hours!!! and you'll be able to get a good grade on your essays. If you need her textbooks for this course please email me at *************

Dr. Watson is one of the best professors I have encountered at UCLA. His ENGL 19 seminar on poetry was phenomenal. We read a few poems a week and then discussed them in a small classroom setting. Dr. Watson is brilliant and what is he has to say regarding poetry (or anything) is engaging. He would invite us out to dinner weekly, which was pretty cool. Dr. Watson has taught at UCLA for over thirty years and at Harvard for a sometime, too. Our group was pretty exceptional, though, which I know made a big difference in how enjoyable the class was. At the end of the quarter, we all signed a card and gave it to Dr. Watson—we liked him that much! (I can't comment on his graded courses.)
