Social Networks and Public Health

Description: Lecture, four hours. Requisite: course 100 or 200A, or Public Health 200A and 200B. Principles of social network research, social network analysis, and social network intervention, especially in relation to public health and health behavior. Coding examples are provided in R (mainly R igraph and ggplot2 packages). Discussion of landmark social network papers relevant to public health. S/U or letter grading.
