Fall 2017 - Professor Roberson is AMAZING!! Super chill class! Literally just singing gospel music. Perfect class for anyone with any level of musical experience. No sheet music, just listen and learn. Professor Roberson does a great job on engaging the class by encouraging everyone to sing out to the fullest. Attendance is crucial to get an "A" in the class. The only writing required is one short, two-paged, double-spaced paper. I really enjoyed this class and will definitely be taking it again! Great way to earn extra units! HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Fall 2025 - Very welcoming to non-music majors; I think more than half the class was in a major outside of the SOM. It's a lot of fun. For an ensemble so dedicated to music about God, it doesn't feel particularly preachy. The focus on God in music represents more of a history lesson that anything else. It's interesting. And the music isn't all that difficult; Dr Dee is very welcoming towards folks with very little or no experience singing. 100% recommend, and I will be trying to take it again.
