Summer 2025 - Professor Kelly loves discussion posts and loves when you participate in them. Replying to peers is a must (graded as participation grade), but most of the time it’s fun. If taken during the summer, you had about 3 lectures to watch weekly, along with about 2 chapters of reading material. The class is fun and a good intro to film. The lectures are engaging and I HIGHLY SUGGEST to watch the welcome videos!!!! This is where the professor would talk about extra credit opportunities that are not posted on the course website. Ex: “Reply to my response on your discussion post to get 5/3 on your participate grade.” Lots of extra credit opportunities that you should do because it ensures you keep that A. The whole course revolves around your short (2-3 min) film idea. The assignments for the class: write a pitch, a storyboard, and lookbook (final project). High recommend this class.
